We stand by our policy that ALL Pregnant spray tanning technicians must wear protective masks whilst working within the confines of a spray tanning room.
Any unsightly spray tan lines across the face caused by wear this mask will be a small price to pay for the knowledge you have mitigated all unknown risks’ associated with ingesting spray tan residue whilst pregnant. Tan lines can hardly be seen as a legitimate reason to break industry protocol.
This is not only industry best practice, buy your clients will be understanding and supportive of your need to do so (given you are exposed 8 hours per working day as opposed to their 2mins). However failure to do so WILL result in a backlash from your 99% female clients.
Remember as soon as you even suspect you are pregnant you must wear a face mask when spray tanning.
